Making

It’s very satisfying and powerful to look at a length of fabric, a patch of dirt or a bag of flour and know that we can create something from it.

Making things forces us to think imaginatively and creatively as we learn new skills, develop confidence and make mistakes. Making things with our hands can be a good way to create a little calm (when everything is going well) and use our brains in a different way.

It’s fun to make a mess, try new things and hold something at the end of the process and declare “I made this”.
